Toolbox 7 is our last online class . I was sick of stay in my room and had to study 3 hour session in 30 mins.
This class is the start of the final project of toolbox. We were suppose to do brain storm at first to come up with an idea of the product. However, I already had an idea before the class the so I skip that. I wanted to design a hat for my customer Anto. Because he said that because he has to wear suits to work he would buy lots of fun hat to be rebel.
I took the samurai elements from V&A museum. I thought that samurai armer’ hat has an interesting shape to it. So I created a patten. At first, I imagine it to be made of puffer materials. However, after use paper to make a sample for the photo shoot I changed my mind. I decided to use reproducible fabric that was made by water bottle and will be waxed in metallic paint. I also made a print that was inspired by the graffitis in Shoreditch it is a slogan “Sorry Im late, didn’t want to come to work”
I designed products before but never for someone, so this is a new experience for me .
