9/22 is my first toolbox session. In summary, I learned about USP-Unique Selling Point, and we did a group work about brainstorm several new ideas for fashion garments , accessories , services or new concepts with a USP that has a socially positive strategy(Sustainable,Socially beneficial ,future technology).
There are only to people in my group, however I think the discussion went pretty successfully. We both came up with some good ideas. I remember Harrison pitched a idea about people sanding clothes of their relatives who passed away, and we will use them to make an art piece for commemorative purpose. I think that’s really romantic. In the end, we decided to go with the idea I came up. Which is up cycled/ reworked denim. To be honest, that is just because I have an interest for vintage denim:). After that we did a group presentation, which I felt that I didn’t do really well. There wasn’t many time for us to prepare, therefore I forgot to mention a lot of my ideas…… I can not do improvise. Personally, I consider myself pretty good at presentations, I don’t usually get shy and I know how to get peoples attention, I just need sometimes to prepare. Next time I will definitely do batter.
All in all, I learned about USP and some new ideas that are becoming very important, also I got to do some cool sketches so I would say I had a good time on my first tool box class:)
