Finally, we back! We can finally have class face to face.
Toolbox 8 is about doing fashion illustration. Giles first showed us different kinds of illustrations. We talked about what media to use, how clear do we want the illustrations to be. Of course I have done a lot of fashion illustrations before, what I usually do is add a lot of different kinds of media into it, so the texture in the drawing would be fun. But first I showed Giles the design drawing I made, and I explained to him the idea. Which, he kind accept it, but I felt its not good enough for him. -_-
So I started my illustration. This time I decided to use water color to draw the outline which show the movement of the men. Then I add detail with markers. I showed the hat with some pieces of paper. I just thought that can show the texture and the shape at the same time.
However, later I remembered that Giles said about he wanna see color on the illustrations. Therefore, I made anther one with different vibe.
I actually haven’t done fashion drawing in a long time, and illustrations are not my strong point. This class made realize that my skill need improvement.
